I took YOUR comments to heart and turned the flow all the way up on the oenjing then used burlap and moss to divert the flow #aquarium #bonsai #penjing

Atypical aquarium- Penjing (beautiful but deadly)
Переглядів 13 тис.2 роки тому
Today we take a look at my penjing which was installed in August of 2019. It uses an Ultum Nature System 60s, Titan 1 light, sera anthracite gravel and the sculpture is made of featherstone. It is currently planted with scraps of stuff I have collected, as well as ficus salicifolia. Nice
I had some real trouble breeding daphnia. Earlier I'd tipped some in our fish pond (that had no fish in it). It was full of mosquito wrigglers so I doubted they would survive. Then about a month later not having much luck I took some water from the fish pond (thinking it looks like green water which they are suppose to like). It had loads of daphnia in it! Like loads and lots of really big ones. My Axolotl babies are loving it and I don't have to do anything but net some out. There are still loads of mosquito wrigglers in it but they get eaten just as well.
Hey! I have been taking a break from aquarium hobby since my oscar died. AND 2 YEARS OF NEWS ABOUT YOUR CHANNEL WAS A HUGE SHOCK FOR ME. I hope you're doing fine if not better. I will keep on waiting for your next video. I won't stop watching from now on huhu
Great Fish
How often do assassin snails eat a pest snails
I wonder if this is still around and if not what happened to all these beautiful goldfish.
Hi Rachel. I'm setting up a 32g fluval flex and REALLY want these kubotai's. I have hard water, ph 7.8. Do you think they'll show that amazing green color in hard water?
comeback!! I do miss your beautiful pair of eyes 😍🤩😍
The poor bebes
Rummynose tetras are my favorites
Rooting for you!
I was watching the video but was distracted at the beginning of the stream 😂
I definitely would 😂
8 years ago with this quality is insane
We hope you are doing fine
Very helpful!
I recently setup a 150 gallon tub to act as a settling tank for my pond. I have a small pump supplying it water at the top, and it drains from the top so that pond particles and gunk settle to the bottom. At the end of May I rescued a new tiny broken hyacynths and water lettuce plants to sit in this tank to extract nutrients from the water and to shade it. It's now July 1st and these plants have nearly covered the top. Yes, they are very aggressive and I can see how they could easily damage a natural waterway.
They love caves and dark places they sneak instant inside
Or you can use multiple smaller air pumps like dual AL-40's... only need to turn on what you need, smaller pumps are quieter, and when one fails you still have the other as bacckup.
I started watching your videos about 8 years ago when i got into the hobby. Time goes so fast. I hope you're doing well 🙏🏻
It's official, these guys are a goal fish for me! 🤩
3:29 this is really wrong information. Emerald Dwarfs do not get on well with Kubotai Rasboras, the Kubotais bully the danios and don't let them eat. Since removing the Kubotais from my 45 gallon heavily planted tank the emerald Dwarfs are breeding and fry are growing up on their own, add some pygmy Corys and it'll be perfect. Loving. these little dudes.
“If i was in a lab i would use safety glasses but I’m not”😂
Great video❤
Can neon tetras and Corydoras hastatus be in the same tank?
Yes
Thanks mate, I just got my first clutch and it's mahoosive, all the eggs are bright pink. Thanks for the care guide.
this was the best male/female sexing guide. like, i could SEE the wrinkles, finally. it looked to me just like a line that swooped under the eye from the outside corner. and the yellow on the boys was prominent as was an almost line in the dark patterning. super clear, thank you for putting them in that smaller container for us. wow 7yr old vid and still the best one i saw on this and also unique info to other stuff that's out there. : )
this was great, thank you! (lol i just thought you were filming at night. dang crickets. glad you got 'im!)
So I CAN clean it out with vinegar solution and salt??
Did you breed them? 😮
Why are those large cichlids in such cramps conditions? Just curious.
How do you get such strong suction with your gravel vac? I’m trying to hover over and pick this stuff up but it’s not strong enough and I wind up getting closer and closer until I get a bunch sand with it and it swirls all around together and I have to pinch the tube and let it back down.
The bigger diameter tube and tubing, the more suction. Maybe size up your vac if you aren't getting enough suction, also, make sure what you are suctioning into is below the level where you are suctioning so gravity helps
@@RachelOLeary Okay thank you so much!
Thanks Rachel great info as usual ❤
I have an almost 4 inch long male he’s gorgeous!!!
How many gallons is the tank
That tank is 240g I think, 7x2x2. The fish have been rehomed to a 600g as I battle cancer.
Very helpful and well done.
I have 3 mystery snail buddies and I couldn't be happier with that! They have a whole 20 gallon long aquarium to themselves!
My spixi just laid a HUUUUUGE clutch. Probably 100 eggs if I had to guess.
Hello -- Is there any information on whether cherry barbs can be kept with shrimps? Or will they eat the shrimps?
They are not kuli loach
It is my first time dealing with shrimp, ( well other than 👻 Ghost shrimps ). I have only purchased them from one Petco, 3 Amano, ( although I don't think one is an Amano, it is a chocolate brown with a cappuccino froth colored stripe down her back), 4 Bumblebee, 3 Lemon & 4 Cherry). I've had them for a few weeks now and they all appeared to be fine and very active and all looked fine, ( but then again I didn't exactly know as to what I should be looking for), until yesterday... Yesterday I noticed the weird green garden on 2 of my Amano. I have removed them from their tank and placed in a spare), I am so glad to learn that I just might be able to save them. Thank you so much for the information
I miss you❤
Just wanna say I appreciate your content and I’m grateful for you sharing it with us. I hope you are doing well 🙃
Great tips Rachel. I just started rearranging my tank garage, this is prefect timing👍
Teenagers are always cranky! ❤ 🤓🔥♥️✌️
This must be several plants bunched together?
I just have an established group of 12 of these that I want to try breeding. Hopefully I can get them into a tub for the summer and get some good color from them
